Kyoto Monteiro

How it came to life

Kyoto was originally inspired by a character my friend created called “Blue,” based on the Pokémon series. We used to draw them together until he moved schools. In memory of him, I redesigned Blue into Kyoto. His name reflects my friend's dream of visiting Kyoto, Japan, and his last name is the same as mine.

He mirrors my friend's personality: quiet, loyal, and witty. He values his friendships above all and would defend those he loves fiercely. His favorite color is black.

Inspirations

Kyoto's edgy design takes inspiration from characters like L (Death Note), Levi Ackerman (AOT), and Itachi Uchiha (Naruto). His hair is influenced by K-pop idols like Heeseung and Jay from Enhypen.
